PLay Skills Camp (ages 6-9)

July 2nd to 5th

9 am to 1 pm

Fee: $85/child

Location: Lakeview Heights Community Hall

PLay Skills Camps are designed to support the development of fundamental movement skills such as throwing, catching, running and jumping. With these skills, kids have a foundation to explore and enjoy different sports and physical activities for life. Action-packed sessions will focus on the ABCs of Physical Literacy. 2018 Okanagan Sport Leadership Conference

PacificSport Okanagan is proud to present the 16th Annual Okanagan Sport Leadership Conference! A one-day Sport Conference for coaches, administrators, sport practitioners, educators, recreation leaders, athletes and parents designed to provide sport education opportunities and hands-on training skills. The Conference will feature keynote speaker Jennifer Heil who is an Olympic athlete and a community service activist. She has won Olympic Gold and Silver medals in the sport of Freestyle mogul skiing, is a four time World Champion and five time overall World Cup Champion.

Kelowna, West Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon were fortunate to receive XploreSportZ coaching sessions from the following sports: fencing, archery, cycling, wrestling, tennis, jiu jitsu, field hockey, track & field, rugby, squash, lacrosse  wheelchair basketball, sledge hockey, pickleball, karate, disc golf, curling, taekwondo, ringette, yoga, softball, football, cricket, sailing, kayaking, dragon boating, mountain biking and gymnastics and parkour.

These skills allow children to enjoy sports and physical activities. Most importantly, with a firm grasp of the Fundamental Movement Skills a child may enjoy a long life of physical activity.
