Starting today, the Local Sport Program Development Fund (LSPD), Girls Only (GO), and Forever Active Bodies (FAB) 55+ grants are no longer available as they have been combined to form the Community Sport Program Development (CSPD) Fund.
The new CSPD Fund will allow for increased access of community sport to people of all abilities. In the past, only a limited amount of funding was available for girls and women sport programs, Aboriginal commuunities, and other underrepresented groups. By combining LSPD and GO/FAB55+, applicants will have a greater opportunity to receive funding for new and expanding sports programs since they are no longer restricted by the category of their application.
In addition, maximum funding for the CSPD Fund has been increased from $2,000 to $3,000 with a semi-annual intake to allow for increased program opportunities and flexible programming windows for eligible applicants.
The first intake of this grant is open May 3 – May 31, 2016 at 11:59 pm PT.
